Headlight aim too high??

Hi , does anyone get flashed by other drivers at night with them assuming the high beam is on? I get flashed most days if I’m driving at night. The headlights are self leveling I assume so the car decides what’s right height wise? Surely the car will be checked that the height is correct when the MOT is done? I was thinking if this is checked at MOT the car will be in access mode so the headlight aim will be lower. Do I need to alter the aim somehow or is it just how the car is?

I don't think it's anything you need to worry about.
If you have access mode activated then the headlights will automatically adjust.
At my MOT garage the engine is left running as it moves from ramp to headlight/emission test to brake rollers, all this is done at normal ride height.
You could also disable access mode prior to MOT.

Disabling it before the MOT could be a good idea.

Thanks, just read your post. You say you set the height of yours facing the garage door. Is there a correct height I need to be measuring and marking from the floor?

Unfortunately I don’t have any measurements however you can easily see them being turned down … gave them a few tweaks which solved the problem but I could still see clearly and I stopped the flashing headlights from oncoming motorists.. never had an issue with MOT either!
Bit of trial and error I’m afraid…
