Parking Sensor Fault

Hi all,

So I noticed a "parking aid not available, please consult your dealer" sign on the dash a few times recently and a long beep when put into reverse. Cameras still work but front and rear parking sensors don't.

I took it to my local garage who plugged it in and it said the front driver's side one was faulty so I replaced it with a new one myself.

Sadly it hasn't fixed the issue - the question I'm asking here is do I need to reset the system somehow - i.e. unplug battery for 20 mins?

Anyone got any experience of this?

Thanks in advance! 2014 L494 V8 s/c Autobiography Dynamic

I had this exact fault (albeit intermittent) and the DTC reported either the drivers side outer sensor or a bad connection (Gnd I think). Tried a spare good sensor and still the same, so had a look and the front bumper wiring loom multi-plug under the nearside front wheel arch liner and found it not fully seated. Quick unplug, contact spray and re-plug and all has been good ever since!

Do you have a DTC to refer to?

Hope this is of some help!

Mike
