United Kingdom

My 2022 L460 Autobiography was around £480.00 to insure last September, good price I thought. I wanted a Hybrid to run via my business and my insurance quote for a P440e is £1850.00 and I live in Hampshire and not London. I couldn't get them down a penny either.
This was all based on a multi car policy and I have a decently expensive supercar on this policy which is £501.00 pa and it's over twice the value.
So, they really are clobbering Range Rovers from my experience. 2014 Range Rover Sport Autobiography 4.4V8

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

It appears to be a location issue rather than a an issue with all Range Rovers. On another thread, I posted an experiment I did to get quotes for a 2021 SVR. I got 2 quotes of less than £750 - compared to £300 for my current 2012 SDV6. So it's not a simple issue of "insurers won't insure RRS" but rather "they won't insure them in areas where thefts have been a problem". 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I think you are probably right there!… interestingly enough I had to drive through Kensington and Chelsea today and every single parked RR and RRS I saw had a steering wheel lock fitted! Which says a lot!

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Java Black

Just bought a 2013 HSE Black Edition at the weekend. Despite being... let's just say middle aged, a former police advanced driver and 40 years without a claim, my current insurer LV said 'sorry we cannot quote for that vehicle'. I then called Adrian Flux who quoted around the £400 mark. I signed up and received the policy documents about an hour later - with insurance from LV. Figure that one out!
