It appears to be a location issue rather than a an issue with all Range Rovers. On another thread, I posted an experiment I did to get quotes for a 2021 SVR. I got 2 quotes of less than £750 - compared to £300 for my current 2012 SDV6. So it's not a simple issue of "insurers won't insure RRS" but rather "they won't insure them in areas where thefts have been a problem". 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I think you are probably right there!… interestingly enough I had to drive through Kensington and Chelsea today and every single parked RR and RRS I saw had a steering wheel lock fitted! Which says a lot! |

Just bought a 2013 HSE Black Edition at the weekend. Despite being... let's just say middle aged, a former police advanced driver and 40 years without a claim, my current insurer LV said 'sorry we cannot quote for that vehicle'. I then called Adrian Flux who quoted around the £400 mark. I signed up and received the policy documents about an hour later - with insurance from LV. Figure that one out! |
