6 Pot Brembo v 6 Pot Land Rover Callipers

Anyone aware how of the Difference in quality of the new Land Rover 6 pots vs the Brembo 6 pots? Are they basically the same quality or does anyone have experience on which they would prefer if you had the choice?

Still made by Brembo as far as i was aware, and that Land Rover didnt want to pay Brembo the fee to use their name on them. So my guess would be that Land Rover used their name on them instead. Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Reason i ask is because i have a set amount of Brembos that are been exchanged for refurbished and it looks like they have the Land Rover ones to exchange Not the same and wondered if its a good idea or not, I could get the Brembos refurbished but this would be a longer turn around?

I think you will find they are the same calliper. L/R ones just plain grey with Range Rover on them, Brembo's painted red with a Brembo sticker on them, probably for the reasons Buckster suggested, red callipers were also a nco on the S/C.

Cheers
Col

Great, Just didnt want to be exchanging for a lesser quality calliper. I managed to fit one but found out one piston was seized so will be swapping them for exchanged units.

Thanks Ollie, Wasnt Sure if the red was abit much was debating having Black Callipers but i dont think it looks too chavvy 😀 They do draw the attention straight to the front brakes though with all the Motor been black.

The 6-pot calipers that I purchased were originally red but then, someone had redone them with a brush and the Brembo sticker wasn’t great quality and had buckled in the heat. I had them refurbished in black with white heat-proof lettering.

I recently changed over to 4-pot calipers and 19” wheels so they might be for sale if anyone is interested.

The wheel is the left hand side front. The disks are Britpart and are fitted correctly. I can’t remember whether it is Porsche or Aston Martin who fit them the other way around.

Same as mine, I wasnt sure and couldn’t find a straight answer so took a guess, Im not sure about the back ones either but apparently it doesnt make a big difference but still nice to know they’re correct.

Back disks should be fitted in the same orientation as the fronts according to Britpart!

I had a set of Britpart discs with low dust pads on my last sport & was very happy with them.

My front drivers side hs started squeaking when braking, Not at first when cold but after a few miles, New discs and ebc yellowstuff pads, Not a loud squeaking but annoying one, Im just hoping its a bedding in noise and not one of the pistons sticking on the refurbished 6 pots i just got also.
