Order done - P440e Autobiography

Ordered placed at the beginning of June with my dealer, for a P440e Autobiography with a few extras - electric deployable towbar, tow assist, hot climate pack (yes, even in Scotland Laughing ), full size spare wheel, red brake callipers (they keep my youngest daughter happy), roof crossbars, tracker pro plus and Wi-Fi connectivity. I’ve managed to get one of this year’s allocation to the dealer, but who knows depending on production! Am going for Giola green at present, but would like to see one in the real world first!

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Hey Swiggy. Thanks for the pics you posted in your other thread. I too have a P440e Autobiog on order (since 11 May). Also green, on the same 22s as you appear to be going with.

That said, I totally lucked out and got a factory build, Porsche Cayenne GTS in Mar-22, having ordered just 5 months prior in Nov-21. The Porker is quite something, and I’m very tempted to run it long term and not go ahead with RRS3 … it’s just that the Porsche almost feels too precious, and I don’t want to pile miles on it and kill its resale value (it could go for well above list if I look after it and sell after 9 - 12 months).

I have previously had two RRS2s - came out of my (lovely) 4.4 SDV8 Autobiog in Mar-22. It should have been replaced with a P400 HST, but LR proved incapable of building it to my spec, so I lost patience after 5 months of waiting and defected to zee Germans.

I would like to return to LR and support British manufacturing, but need to weigh that up against a) concerns about build quality, assuming they build it in the first place; and b) the affinity insurance scheme I go through at work has just refused to insure Range Rovers unless they are garaged (as apparently 3,750 were stolen last year of which only 1 in 5 were recovered Shocked ).

Anyways, first world problems I know; and I’ll certainly keep the RRS3 order in for now as I may well find it hard to resist when I see it in the metal … and I seem to drive down mostly crappy, rural, muddy lanes where a RR looks more appropriate than a roaring Porker Rolling with laughter Current: Cayenne GTS (got fed up with waiting for LR to build my third RRS)
On order: RRS3 510e AB
Gone: RRS SDV8 AB, RRS SDV6, Vauxhall Nova 1.0, Nova 1.3 SR, Nova 1.4 SRi, Renault Laguna (why?), BMW 318is coupe (fabulous - despite having to buy a radio and tape player for it from Halfords), 323i saloon, 325ti compact (superb), 320td compact (awful), VW Golf 2.0d 4Motion (all the car you really need), BMW 120d compact (excellent), 118d compact (slow), 335d coupe (rapid)

Hey Cooperman, thanks for the response - I was expecting a more active forum on the new L461, certain the L460 has caused more stir and posts on the fullfattRR forum, but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place! I've thought of a Cayenne a few times, but never took the plunge sticking with LR products now for 7 years and 3 cars, my latest being a P400 HST which has now done 24k miles since I got it new 2 years ago - it's a cracker and very happy with it, although the allure of a new car and hybrid is driving the change!

Like your car history - I too had a Nova SR (White - E153 EMY), followed by a Citreon AX GT (Plastic fantastic), a Rover 400 (don't know why), followed by a BMW 318 (E30) followed by a BMW 320 (E36), VW Corrado VR6, VW Passat v6 estate (kids arrive), Volvo V50 T5, then XC90s, X5 then LR (Disco 4 then 5 then RRS) - so a potted history! I think the P400 HST is the best car of the lot, so quick, relatively economical for it's size and very capable. Roll on the L461!

I'm not entirely sure of the colour, I like it on the configurator but when I saw a paint block of it at Rocker in Canary Wharf, the colour looked entirely different and depended on the light aspect, so I would like to see one in the flesh first. Speaking to LR, I believe they have 4 sets of 2 cars doing the showroom round, and the LR lady thought there might be one on the circuit - so if anyone sees one, a picture or few would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully the theft stats might improve with the new version, but at least mine is parked on the drive, out of sight of the road with electric gates and CCTV on it, so not sure what else I can do, although this doesn't always help the insurance premium!

Know what you mean about the muddy lanes, I live on the West coast of Scotland so the additional off road capabilities are a security blanket over the winter! Good luck, look forward to seeing some pictures of your car when it arrives, I'm hopeful that it might be early in the New Year!! Very Happy

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I was not too sure about ordering the first of a new model again from Land Rover!

So, I deliberately bought one of the last P400e models although I really wanted a pure eclectic but felt it was too early for me.
Even the P400e has not been trouble free and the software gets very confused at times!

Although I have loved the 4 Land Rovers I have owned I fear this will be the last.
Currently in France and having to lock the car in order to reset has been very worrying when in the middle of no where!

So the best of luck when your RRS3 arrives and look forward to hearing how it performs. Thumbs Up 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

That is the colour we are interested in. Great they used it at Goodwood. We are off to a viewing next week and I am hoping they have that colour there. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Great colour choice guys.

Saw one in the flesh over at the Daylesford viewing day so have ordered the P440e Autobiography with a couple of extras added in just for good measure, misses wanted Fuji but for once I got my own way.

This will be a first for me as I normally buy 18 month old RRS's with average miles hoping that any issues have been sorted out which has worked well so far for the 4 494's we have had so will be a bit apprehensive about it being fresh off the production line. 2023 D350 FIRST EDITION, SANTORINI WITH CLOUD/EBONY

12-18 for a sport? JLR are reporting 6-9 for the sport and 12-18 for the FFRR. It’s so dependant in you individual spec.

I have just ordered a 440e SE and been told delivery is 9-12 months. The 6-9 months quoted on the website is stated to be as at late July 2022, and so is out of date now
