2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver

Kenyan Safari

Hi everyone,

Just got back from a 2-week trip to Kenya, the main purpose of which was to do a safari in the Mara.

We stayed at Angama Mara for 5 nights - amazing lodge on the escarpment overlooking the Mara.

For the movie buffs, quite a few scenes from the movie Out of Africa were filmed there - the opening sequence, the picnic scene, etc.

2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

No pictures of an RRS off-roading. Did all those smelly animals get in the way of the shots? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

After the Mara, we headed to Sasaab Lodge(https://www.thesafaricollection.com/properties/sasaab/), in Samburu. It was very hot & dry, and very dusty, and the game viewing was not as extensive, but a nice experience in a very different landscape than the Mara.

If you are a fan of giraffes, this photo will be very interesting to you: it is a giraffe sleeping on the ground. It is so rare that this is only the second time that our guide had seen it in over 25 years of guiding all over Kenya!

It was also our very first time seeing a gerenuk!

After two weeks of safari, we headed back to Nairobi, where the Mrs crossed off one of her bucket list destinations: Giraffe Manor, where she got to feed and interact with their giraffes
