I swapped over to the Brembo 6 pot calipers too. I had them refurbished and bought new fittings, pads, disks, sensor and pipes etc. The calipers were hand painted bright red but had them changed to black with Range Rover written on them.

Let me know if you want any part numbers etc. for the bits I bought. I bought new disks and pads for the rear too but they are standard size.

Here’s a picture, not easy to see the caliper due to the wheel spokes.

Did you notice a big difference in braking? I always feel brakes are so poor with these TRW brakes, Which discs and pads did you go for? Looks like britpart are good and decent price discs so im just trying to find out best pads now?

Britpart disks and EBC Ultramax pads

To start with, the braking was rubbish, always is with new stuff until they bed in. They are now really good and the main thing I noticed was that there isn’t any brake fade after repeated use. It’s easy to forget that they are trying to stop a 2.5 tonne car.

I nearly bought the Terrafirma disks but after a brief search on the Interweb, found a company selling the Britpart disks for less money. I swapped my brakes over last September so prices will probably be different now.

Think i will go for the safe option then in britpart discs, Did you use much dot 4 to bleed the brakes afterwards? Might aswell flush the whole system while im at it and doing the rear discs and pads aswell. Not sure how much brake oil the system holds?

A friend bled the brakes for me with one of those vacuum brake bleeders. No idea how much brake fluid he used.
