Air flow meter 5l SC help

Hi guys, having a repeated issue with my car, obd says air flow sensor issue.

Car keeps hunting when doing a constant speed with a light touch on the accelerator. It's fine under full foot down mode or slowing down.

I was advised by the supplying dealer to clean the sensors and this worked for 8 weeks, but has now come back again. Cleaned them again and it seems to have cleared the issue.

What I would like to know is there a reason for the sensors getting dirty or is it simply a matter of wear and tear?

If it is wear and tear any recommendations as to a suitable supplier of OEM quality parts? Anyone have the part number?

TIA

MAFS534-OE anyone confirm that this is the correct part number? Also are they the same on both intakes as they "look" different.

Are they any cheaper from Jaguar?
TIA

They are both the same, just screwed in a different position. Rimmer Brothers have some cheap Chinese Specials at 80.00 quid each, special being they probably last as long as it takes to remove them from the box.

You'll probably find that the LR and FoMoCo ones are just re-branded Denso.

I'd just get the Denso one, probably the cheapest as well Thumbs Up --

Go for the Denso ones £120.00 each, same thing in a pretty L/R branded box will cost you £240.00.

These arrived today, 5 minutes to fit them, ran the GAP to clear all faults, then took her for a test drive.

I was totally amazed at the difference in the driving experience I had.

Gear change smoother, throttle response better, no hunting or indicision in gear choice or wanting to take off like a rocket every time you touched the throttle.

If you would have told me that spending £240 would change the car this much, I wouldn't have believed you!

Thanks for all your help guys.... Just what forums should be for Bow down Thumbs Up
