Eureka moment.

Long story short always thought my 2.7 was very sluggish around 1500rpm and that the turbo doesn’t kick in, well after taking the tin shed down to Cornwall this lack of power was more prevalent!

Doing some research on Disco3 I found that this issue was cured in some cases by unplugging the electrical plugs on the EGR valves? (Mine are blanked) Well nothing ventured I thought? Well what a transformation, gone is the 1500rpm black hole of no power, hesitation and seeming indecision from engine and gearbox, she now pulls hard, smooth and quieter it’s like driving a different car.

Read codes and obviously still got EGR valve bank A but the speed control error has gone and replaced with EGR temp sensor C low voltage.

So far well chuffed all round😃😃 Steve

I guess this is because you haven't removed the butterfly in the intake Y ?

Though I think you have a better solution

When I had my EGR blanked the butterfly was doctored. Today I came across the below on the disco3 forum about the 2.7 map sensor. I removed mine today at work (10 mins tops) and mine was a little gunky. I cleaned it and made a note of the mileage and willl check again in a few k. Just a thought to check.

Butterfly removed and map sensor cleaned which had only made a minor improvement but nowhere had I read anything about unplugging the EGR’s until recently. Steve
