What warning sound are you referring to? any warning sound/light would normally indicate a issue, the most logical thing would be investigate the issue before it becomes a very expensive repair. If it's the screeching noise then based on other members experiences the EBC wants stripping and servicing.

Cheers

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

There is no warning sound as such on the EPB,,, the screeching sound that is heard is the plastic gearing inside the module ripping itself to shreds,,,,. If there was a warning sound for their why would you want to turn it off anyway??. 2010 RRS, TDV8

United States 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Just wanted to chime in.

I've had the electronic parking brake (EPB) sound for some time even after I had replaced the rear shoes.

I ended up ordering a new EPB module and was ready to start the job. Before doing so I did one more Youtube search how to replace it to get familiar. Ended up watching this video and it turned out it fixed my issue. The video mentioned adjusting one side (passenger rear), but I did both sides.

From my experience, you can have the EPB sound (thinking the module has grind itself to death), but actually the rear shoes just need to be adjusted on both sides.

Hopefully this gives more people hope. Replace your rear shoes and readjust them correctly.
