What Code Readers are people using?

Looking to get hold of a full blown Fault Reader for my RRS.

I have a basic OBD2 unit that I use on the Wife's Ford Ka, but don't think it's really what I need for "Greta".

Looking for recomendations.

TIA

It’s the only tool I’d say. Have a look out for 2nd hand ones here or on the sister sites of Disco3 etc, but be quick they normally are advertised for long. I think it’s a £25 fee with Gap to tie the tool to your car. Personally worth every penny. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

My Gap IID has more than paid for its self. I’ve recalibrated the suspension twice, enabled the timed FBH and carried out numerous fault readings.
It’s a must have item In my opinion. Richard

You can get an Autel AP200 White code reader for between £44 (direct) and £70 (amazon)

These are excellent value for money on the prefacelift models
Key programming, Suspension calibration.
Can't change CCF options

Should read codes on the later models, but check the docs

https://www.autelstore.co.uk/wholesale/aut...anner.html

If you need it quickly order from amazon

I have the same Autel AP200 its Bluetooth, its done everything I wanted so far on my FFRR MY18 (GAP doesn't support MY17 onwards).

I also have a cheap VGATE ICAR PRO WiFi ELM327 EOBD OBD2 Scan Tool iPhone/Android and use an old iPhone 6s to monitor DPF Active regens using the dashboard on the CarScanner app

You’ll end up paying import taxes which might make it more expensive than buying from Bell Auto Services or Island 4x4... Whistle Visitor from fullfatrr.com

No, never seen it drop for me.
You have to start the car or select ignition without start, and then select VLink wifi signal, then start the app and then connect.

My lad has an Autel MK808BT and I've put it on the RRS a few times, does a lot of stuff (mostly over my head) and it isn't tied to one vehicle.

How do you find the v-gate,I got one from Amazon but it didn’t work,I tried it on 4 different vehicles so sent it back for a refund, but I’ve been contemplating trying another one. Also, does it actually tell you when the vehicle is doing a regen.? I’m running a Ford Ranger 2021 at the moment. Andy.
