sorry to hear this - i didnt think the oil pump was an issue on the later cars? Did your car have full history etc? |

Yes good history inc belts change last aug with discs and pads |

Excellent news.. If you are getting it repaired consider requesting an independent garage do the work due to loss faith/trust in the garage. |

Been contacted today to confirm replacement engine will be fitted, i have insisted on a similar mileage engine with proof of mileage via mot and engine number to match so I can check withdvla

I would also ask the belts all to be done, not saying they wont but if they are peeved to do the job in the first place evey penny they save may be detremental to you. |

Not sure I'd want an engine from a donor that has a poor MOT history. If someone isn't looking after the brakes etc., then how mechanically sympathetic are they likely to have been with the engine? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
