I think the question was for comprehensive cover not 3rd party, fire and theft Laughing . Seriously though on what basis did you get you quote, it's quite exceptional.

thankyou

Here’s the Moneysupermarket offering that was then fulfilled by AA (2016 HSE, 9 years no claims)

Thanks very much Coedlan, just done a check on my 2019 P400 Hse. Cheapest quote was just under £400.00 for just me with an £800.00 excess and no European cover, £89.95 extra, The cover was via LV, no quotes from AA. At present I have a mjlticar policy from NFU for 3 cars, the RRS, a Seat Arona and an Alpine A110PE for which i pay £1400.00. As said this covers Europe and 4 drivers, me, my wife and two children, doesn't look too bad,
thanks for you help

Tim,

Are you saying you just received a quote from LV=. I received a letter saying that they were not insuring RRS going forward?

Thanks

Carl

To qualify, the underwriter on the policy is ABC insurance which according to their website is part of the LV= group.

My RRS insurance was renewed with LV at the start of January without any hassle, but it was part of a multi-car policy.

Ended up paying through the nose just to get covered by starting a mini fleet policy through my business!

Having had my last RRS stolen obtaining insurance was a little more fun this year.

Even LandRover insurance wouldn't quote as the car was deemed too high risk by the panel of insurers. That made me laugh...

Eventually ended up with Churchill via comparethemarket. Price was £1120 .9 yrs Protected NCB (with one big claim). RRS MY 2021 HST Hakuba Silver, 22", Sliding Roof,
RRS MY 2020 P400 Dynamic Byron Blue, Contrast Roof, Panoramic Roof,
