Just been given a part ex price of £38k against an RS4 through my own dealer.
Gutted to say the least as they have a std HSE on the forecourt with lower spec to mine up for £44k.

Mine is 8 months old with 5000 miles on the clock. 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6
GONE TDV6 HSE RRS in Giverny green,Ebony interior, Side steps,Tints, PTI, Tow pack, mud flaps, Side strips and Dynamics pack.

you can understand the dealers point of view, hes the one with the money sat on his forecourt, and he has to vallet it and give it the once over, and take the risk, when i buy boats at that sort of money i am looking for a bigger return than that. i appreciate its a different market but its still 38k some of my Previous cars

Easily Envoy! I never understand why people p/x: you get the least possible for your old car and pay top dollar for your new one? Is it fear, laziness or just poor planning? Its a lot to do with your tax situation i reckon, or it could be that people just dont want the hastle of selling on the second hand market, it is a bit harder to sell expensive motors privately

I'm sure everyone has their own particular reason for choosing not to sell privately Envoy. Agree with Brian on this one.. but i wouldn't just take tha one dealers trade in.. look at other RS4's and work out a deal with someone who is willing to make smaller margin on the RRS.. you will get better prices.. and use that to haggle with the first dealer if he has the right car for you.

RS4.. what are you after? We have a nice RS4 going.. member on here owns it! nice price, spec, and we can prob get a better pex on your RRS then that seeing as though its likely to go into an LR garage direct.

Just remember guys, RRS is no longer a bullet proof residual car as you can import/negotiate discounts on new ones.

Also, there probably isn't a waiting list on TDV6's anymore!

Also - my audi dealer said " it costs them 2k to turn a car around = minimum " so if they are offering £38k + 2k costs .... what they can sell it for above this is their proffit

But, regardless of the actual current market value, the stealer will always give you a lot less. He's not a charity, he's there solely to make a profit on your car.
