Moved to off topic.

I like the new dash, but it has lead to the deletion of the trademark Land Rover bulkhead vents Sad Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Fella's you have to move with the times. The new Defender facia is light years ahead of the old model. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

TB,

Your quite right - however I hope the new one has the same rugid finish as the current - it would be awful to see LR put 'thin' plastic cover panels in everywhere - a defender needs to feel substantial IMO - light weight, low cost flimsy panels wont cut it Confused

I think the new facia looks a more robust facia than the old model. I never really liked all of that silver plastic stuff. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Hmm... looks very Defenderish, which I suppose is the point Wink

Is this dash going to be fitted across all the ranges, if so why dont they do a basic old style rugged type dash for the basic model, or would that be to difficult some of my Previous cars

IMHO I think the new one is streets ahead.

I don't think that any vehicle can continue to trade on its past for ever and the Defender interior is well and truly out of date.

Look at the mini. It dated back to the 60's and was just hopelessly out of date prior to replacement. Look how good the replacement is. I think the Defender desperately needs bringing up to date.

I have seen numerous drawings of replacements, only for them to be scrapped or pushed back.

BTW, will the driving position improve with new interior? Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
