Look at the mini. It dated back to the 60's and was just hopelessly out of date prior to replacement. Look how good the replacement is. I think the Defender desperately needs bringing up to date.

I have seen numerous drawings of replacements, only for them to be scrapped or pushed back.

BTW, will the driving position improve with new interior?

I here where you are coming from things/designs need to move on before they become stagnant but surely there is a place in the market for a simple basic design without any frills, maybe to run alongside the new design Just my opinion
