Probably a simple question but
My 2010 3.0D is telling me a service is required but I can't work out which one, the service history shows

Oct 2019 oil service
June 2018 B service
Oct 2016 B service
Nov 2015 A service

I think the normal cycle should be
A
Oil
B
Oil
A
Oil
B
and so on, if this is correct am I due an A service and is this the big one, oh and given the engine was reconditioned in Mar 2020 does this change anything re the sequence

There's no such thing as an “Oil” Service so as your car is 10 years old it needs a B service. As for the recon engine that’s up to you but the rest of the car hasn’t been recon’d

As Landphil says most likely a B service,
depends how long you have had it or what has been itemised as work completed
(not just a stamp in the book)
also what was done in March with the engine, you would hope all belts while the engine was out
(even if they were done at year 7 when it should have had them done)
along with all filters and oil

10 years IF it has not already been done another oil change from March wont hurt, gearbox flush, transmission oil, diff oils, pollen filter and a good check around

As far as what was done at engine recon I can't be sure as this was under warranty and the details aren't great. It did have the front belt done in Dec '19 but I'd need to check on the rear. I'll budget for a B service being the more extensive or is that expensive

I paid £1000 inc. vat in January this year at an indy, local dealer quoted £1800 then reduced it to £1600 straight away. HTH.
