Worn bolt removal

Hi All, some of you will probably remember me asking for help with my seized handbrake module. Well being short of time and needing constant use I have not managed to get around to sorting it out once and for all as I have every Friday off in may Smile due to annual leave I need to take.

On my last attempt it is obvious it's been worked on before, the cover screws seem to have perished beyond being able to remove in situ and the bracket bolts look to have been worn down as I cant get any grip with my sockets.

So I know I need to remove the bracket so after the best method. I have seen some socket sets which claim to be able to remove worn bolts, has anyone used these and which is the best to go for?

Also is heat advisable on these as I want to re-use my module and avoid the £400-600 bill for a new one Sad

Thanks in advance & Stay Safe

As above, the Irwin ones are known to be good. I have a set in my toolbox just in case. Kev

I've got a set of those in my garage. Still in the original wrapping as they were bought as a "just in case" item. So far, so good and haven't had to use them on anything. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
