My car has the genuine deployable side steps fitted but I'm having issues with them.
They work fine every time you open and close the doors.

The issue is roof access mode when you want to wash the car. Most of the time when you go in to the menu this option is greyed out so you can't get the steps to stay out. Leave the car for 10 ish minutes and it works fine but not much use if you can't use them when you need to.

Anyone else had this issue ? Or am I doing something wrong ? 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Certainly won't pretend to know, but is there a setting in the menu some where you can set the time delay by any chance. Same as you can with various other functions. Only a thought.

I’ve just worked this out on my 19MY AB with deployables.

To allow roof access mode whilst in the car, with the ignition on, put it in “Park’ and then unlock the doors with the switch on the drivers door. That enables “Roof Access Mode” to be selected through the ICTP screen.
