First I have heard of a dealer 'skimming' the discs Confused
Normally if the discs are worn they will want to replace them as I think the actual wear amount allowed on these discs is quite small.
Anyone else had their discs skimmed?

May be worth clarifying this point Zilch

Also I think that saying it is fair enough that the pads are worn at this mileage due to the cars weight is poor really.
My work van has now done 25k, carrys loads of weight and does not get driven lightly, it is on it's original pads with a fair amount of wear left.

OK it is not auto which doesn't help the RRS but none of that is motorway miles either.

I do think LR could have beefed up the brakes a bit more.
