Remote Climate?

So I went out to my car this morning having used the remote climate to warm it through, it was pretty cold and frosty when I finished work so thought warming it and defrosting would be just the ticket.
When I got in the car was cold, no air circulating which I thought strange - I started the car up and a message flashed up saying ‘Timed climate not available’ but it disappeared before I could see what else it said.

The remote fob flashed orange, then went green and blinked green which as far I am aware is the normal procedure.

It’s obviously just been in for service so could something have been reset during service?

The ‘Timed Climate’ option in the car both say ‘Off’ but I am assuming they would only say ‘On’ if you had set the time?

One of the things it might have been is that the battery voltage was to low, can’t remember the exact figure but it has to be above a certain value to allow the heater to run,

Timed Climate should be off, yes, if you’re only using the key fob. An orange light followed by green blips is normal.

I agree with david007, sounds like a battery issue, maybe it’s dropping voltage in the cold if it’s approaching end of life. Low battery is displayed in the instrument binnacle when this happens. The climate may have started and then soon after decided to shut down, hence the key fob looking initially happy. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Orange light on the plipper first means the fob battery is low. Change the battery and try again. Type 1/3N battery. Bodsys Brake Bible

I agree with the above. Probably battery voltage low due to the cold. It used to happen all the time on my old battery. Since I've put my new battery on, it fires up every time without fail.

I love hopping into the toasty RRS on a frosty morning slipping my hot mug of tea driving past others defrosting their windscreens Very Happy Kev

For timed or remote climate to operate you must have the following:-

sufficient battery charge

at least a quarter of a tank of fuel

outside temperature less than 15 deg C
