United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

I was surprised how close the SDV6 and SDV8 are in real life in the RRS.

Now they have the same thing in the FFRR I wonder how things pan out between the two, it was a no brainer to pick the SDV8 in the FFRR when they deliberately only kept the TD6 as the 3.0 engine.

Anyone else got a dodgy tailgate inside seam? My mate's RRS had the same thing, paint overruns, bits sticking out and thin scratch lines where presumably its hitting something when it closes lol.

With all that being said I swapped into an SVR on Thursday.

Haven't got round to posting about it until now!

Will get a picture or two up soon.

I was always put off by getting one but a good deal came along and I took it.

Its not as loud as I was thinking as long as you don't go above 3/4000rpm! Non JLR Vehicle

Uploaded a couple of images of the car and the key as apparently the SV Logo on the key is a relatively new thing!

Really enjoying it, the engine, handling, sound (I actually find the MY20 car just right noise wise and apparently they've made it a lot quieter, not sure how it would have sounded pre MY17!!!).

Few quick things if anyone knew the answer;

- The MY18 onwards SVR seats - is there a knack to getting them more comfortable, I've played around with the lumbar support a bit and that's made them 80% better but my lower back is still not entirely happy with them compared to the standard Autobiography seats . . .
- Is it just me or does access height on the SVR not go as low as on the normal RRS cars? The MY19 SDV6 Autobiography I had before this seemed to go lower when in access height mode.
- Have they banished InControl Apps on MY20 cars? Not that I use it but its gone without a trace lol.

Few QC issues with how it came from the factory but nothing really new there.

Will also give a big thumbs up to Marshall Land Rover Melton Mowbray, best dealership I've found by a country mile now, bought the last two cars of them and will probably by more in the future from them, some really nice people working there and consistently nice which is important. They've also done me two really good deals, if anyone wants any contact details just let me know and I'll pass them over in a PM. Non JLR Vehicle

Thanks Tyrefitter Smile

It was a stock car that just landed at the dealer and I got a good deal on it. Also had a few options on it and was in a colour combo I could live with (black everywhere) so I pulled the trigger! I thought life's too short I might as well give one a blast for a while after noticing for 5 litre cars the SVRs seem to hold their value "fairly" well.

Also for some insane reason its a reasonable amount cheaper to insure this SVR than it is the SDV6, no idea why at all.

In addition to the questions above, does anyone find the stop/start a bit umm noticeable on these 5 litre cars?

You literally take your foot off the pedal, engine starts and it sort of pushes forward, doesn't do it when you disable stop start and take your foot off the pedal.

Have started to disable it when I'm not in a built up area as its not the most subtle of stops and starts! Non JLR Vehicle
