United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

For the last few years, I've found the best prices for insurance have been through TopCashbackCompare...

https://www.topcashback.co.uk/topcashback-compare/

This year mine cost me £503. Thats me at 34 years old with 13 years NCD and an SP30 from 2016. Kev

13 years is a good NCD. I lived abroad and lost my NCD after spending a few years without a car. Frustrating, but I guess it'll be fine.

Did find a good tracker from Rewire systems that looked good. https://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/gps-track...ar-tracker 2012 RRS Autobiography Sport SDV6 Orkney Grey

This might seem a bit late, but my experience of GAP insurance is as follows.

Bought a new truck (£85k), arranged finance through one of the biggest companies in the UK (better not say), insured it with Norwich Union and took out the finance companies own GAP insurance.

Truck got written off 4 years later, all insurances paid out, yet I still owed £14k!

Make of that what you will, but GAP, like warranties have so many get out clauses, none can be said to be 'a safe bet'.

I bought one of their trackers a couple of years ago, not for insurance purposes but just for peace of mind and I have to say it's brilliant. The app and online portal are fantastic with history, speed, location etc and there's even an option to cut the fuel if the car is stolen.
Fantastic bit of kit for the money but don't know if it meets insurance requirements? 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

I got one in the end and it's been pretty good, although I've found the app to be a bit intermittent....for the money though it is great and it is adequate for my insurance needs... 2012 RRS Autobiography Sport SDV6 Orkney Grey

Welcome to the forum and good to see another owner from Poole Thumbs Up

Advice for a first time owner would be to put a bit of cash aside for repairs. I've had my Sport for just under a year and I have spent around £3k on parts, service items and some minor mods. I do all of the work on my vehicle myself so I save on the labour costs.

PS. I've also spent nearly £6k on an engine rebuild (but I had a bit of bad luck!)

If you're vehicle hasn't got one - get yourself a spare wheel protector to protect your spare against thieving Censored .

Well 3 weeks in and the rear ACE bar is leaking onto my driveway, not badly, but bad enough! So it is booked in to go back to the dealer at the end of the month and hopefully it will be covered under warranty.... 2012 RRS Autobiography Sport SDV6 Orkney Grey

Not the OP but, is there one you'd recommend? I found this one on the Internet Gargler: https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/anti...protector/

(Funnily enough, I don't have a spare yet .. because the winch had been cut some years back; maybe when someone helped themselves to the spare!) 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

Insurance and trackers

So I currently have a 2018 AB where I had the standard Secure Tracker. But I ended up adding a cat6 Trackstar immob/tracker.
Have just ordered an SVR and am thinking of adding the £200 option SECURE TRACKER PRO - which is apparently in addition to the secure tracker- something to do with stopping fobs getting cloned I think.
Anyway is it worth getting this ?
I too I think will move to LV as they don’t insist on tracker
