Are you sure its the correct receiver they are know to have issues like the tow ball falling out whilst towing as happened to me and i would not put the van on the back with a tow bar that had been filed.Firstly search on here for tow ball issues i wold either buy a plate to bolt to the detachable tow bar fixing or get a fixed tow bar |

I have a Trust TL1 on mine, was quite reasonably priced and I fitted it myself. It is fixed, though less obtrusive than the factory fixed unit and doesn't affect ground clearance as much. |

I have used the factory fitted detachable tow hitches on four Range Rovers now and had had them on other vehicles without any problems! My caravan weighs in at 2000kg and I have towed cars on a twin axle trailer also. Hope you get sorted out though.. Current: 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE

What part isn’t fitting? Is it the catch not locking in? Looking at topix, there’s no difference between 2010 and 11. There is a minor diff between 2005 to 9 and 10 to 13 but that’s it.

I see that a Security plate kit is also available from Advanced Factors (forum sponsors). See here

Not sure I understand the question but the TL1 has a part that fits into the receiver for LR removable towbar (it clicks in). Then there are a couple of bolts that attach to the chassis & that is essentially it. I used the removable one for a while and it was fine but I do a lot of towing over many miles, so decided to get the extra security of the fixed. |
