Brembro break disks 380mm

Minefield out there when it comes to break disks. I’m upgrading the four pot callipers to the bigger 6 pot on my SDV6 2012 Obviously I need to put the bigger 380mm disks on. Should I fit OEM LR disks or go for Brembro? There are loads availability on eBay what’s the difference? are all brembro the same or are there differences? Are drilled worth getting or just standard can anybody recommend a set please? Banging Head Cheers Laurence.

So this is where I might be getting confused I need to know the model number of the 2012 Supercharged RRS? Mine is the SDV6 which is a L322 model? What’s the model of the S/C because I’m upgrading to those brakes. Cheers Laurence.

If you have a Sport it is a L320 irrespective of which engine is fitted, a L322 is a fullfat

My Original Land Rover discs have the word brembo dot stamped on them so if you see the original brembo discs cheaper than at LR, buy them. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Don't think this is a bad price for genuine L/R discs, not sure my original discs had Brembo stamped on them, the genuine replacements from L/R certainly didn't.

The brembo marking was very small and in dot markings so difficult to see and I didn’t see it until after I painted them. I still have a spare in the garage (they were V cheap for genuine LR from a dealer). 2012 5.0 SC AB

May have been there then in that case but never noticed, but to be fair wasn't actualy looking, the original were pretty rusty so probably wouldn't have seen it anyway.

Thanks guys L320 is where I was going wrong! I’m struggling with the finding the larger Brembro calliper 20” Supercharged set I think? Also to upgrade my 4 pot callipers to the larger 6 pot do I need dust covers and different wires? Not knowing a great deal about all this wish there was a garage I could drive in get them to Dom the work and drive out!! Life is never that easy... Big Cry Cheers Laurence.

Quick look at a parts list, apart from the obvious discs, calipers, pads and pad fitting kit about the only other thing you need is the wear sensor wire, the backplates appear to be same part number. The large carrier mounting bolts on the original ones can be used to mount the Brembo caliper as they are also appear to be the same number. When I replaced my discs I did use new bolts as they are not very expensive and torqued up pretty tight 275 Nm. if I remember right.

Should be able to get them all from Advance Factors cheap enough.

LR019401 Wear Sensor Wire (1)
SYG500050 Caliper Mounting Bolt (4)
LR016683 Pad Fitting Kit (2)
SYP100241 Disc Retaining Screw (2)

Some of the part numbers may have been superseded by now, but all the same on the 2010-2013 Sport.

I had to take my rear discs off to lube the EPB so I got some photos of the Brembo marked disc along with the LR part details.

Strange as the S/C never had Brembo brakes on the rear from the factory.

There’s a good chance they share the same brakes. I should do a EPC check on the engineering number and see if they are common to both models.

Did the FFRR have TRW rear callipers? 2012 5.0 SC AB
