REmap & IID Tool

I've just purchased a lovely 12 plate SDV6 Sport which I'm interested in remapping also I want a IID tool

The link isn't working for Duckworth and their site seems to be down? I tried calling Bell Auto Serv today to ask if they did a IID tool with a remap included? Although I'm not sure if the ECU has to come out the L320 SDV6? Unfortunately Pete wasn't available to speak to me. Can this be included on the IID tool? Cheers Laurence.

ECU out job on your motor. Can’t be done via an IID. Alive Tuning get the Thumbs Up from most folks Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Alive did my 2012 sdv6 a while back. It is indeed an ecu out job. Took around 3 hours from memory. Absolutely worth it, transforms the car.

Seems there are various permutations of remap options available. ECU out and sent to company for your update Father Jack, was this your only option ?

I have an IID tool, is it an option that the software for remapping my RRS 2007 2.7TD could be sent to me and I can then upload this via the IID tool ?

Also, after remaps, are there anytime when your car needs to be put on a dyno run to tweak the car/software? Thumbs Up RRS 2.7 HSE Stornoway Grey

I'm sure Bell Auto can remap yours remotely using your IID. Call them to discuss Thumbs Up Visitor from fullfatrr.com

From memory 2012 my cars cannot - or certainly when I had mine done could not - be done via the obd port. I had mine done at Alive HQ and they took it out the car, did the necessary and refitted it. I would think it could be possible to take it out post it and wait for it to come back but then you can't drive in the interim.

Alive do have agents now across the UK so for example Disco Mikey in Dundee and so on.

Best bet is email Alive (or BAS etc) and tell them year of car or better engine and chassis no's and they will advise you more specifically.

I can only speak for my Alive map but it transformed driveability and I would have no problem recommending them.

All 2.7 are OBD

All 3.0 are bench job

Things then changed with RRS2, and it becomes a little more complicated

Thumbs Up

I appriciate this is an old thread - and ive just purchased a 2012 (13MY) Sport SDV6 and am looking at the ECU upgrade. Can anyone tell me what does this do to the drivability as factory setup isn't too bad - does it do anything for fuel economy as well?
