L494 Infotainment upgrades

Has anyone replaced their system with a more to date one something like this:

Was it a successful integration etc?

Sorry not tried this alternative but it looks good- has a much wider screen.

Not a very good review of product or seller.

This thread has resurrected from last December, since which time I bought a MY17 RRS so I got the upgraded infotainment system. (I felt the older RRS had a similar/identical system to my old MY13 Evoque which was poor) MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green)

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Having to keep the original switch packs and tuck them in the dash void is a bit rubbish. Likewise the GPS and microphone having to be sat in the cabin when the vehicle has both built in, seems a bit rubbish too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yeah, not ideal, but at least it gives you an upgrade path to a decent system.

Almost everyone who's upgraded to this unit can't stop raving, despite a few niggles here and there. --
