I think you are meant to use the loop on the jack handle. (if you can get it in)

Do you think, looking at the location of the loop, that it’s possible to attach a lanyard to it permanently (i.e. a red loop of webbing etc.) and place it under the cap in the cup holder? Would the angle of the cable prevent it?

I’m thinking I would like to relocate the loop or attach something to it so that I can release the EPB if (or more likely when) it fails when I’m away from home (and my tools). 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

You'll probably have to give it a try just to see how far it pulls the loop across. It's not directly under the EPB switch anyway so it may well work,,,, or just keep a small Phillips driver in the boot as you can prise the gaiter off with your fingers 2010 RRS, TDV8

Thanks for that, the plan was to loop a cable tie through the wire loop for a bit of leverage.
