Who owns an RRS?

Here's an interesting thought inspried by a different thread which i read earlier. What kind of people own and drive Range Rover Sports?

So, for those of you who own a Range Rover Sport,
Which job or profession do you work in Question
Do you own any other vehicles? If so, what are they?
What factors influenced your decision to purchase such a vehicle?
Do you use it as an all terrain vehicle?

Question Question Question

Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I'm up for this...

I run a hotel chain, 65 hotels in 16 countries with several more in the pipeline. We have more rooms in St. Petersburg, Russia, than any other brand!
Have a Volvo XC90 D5 Summum trim
Brought the wife to see the Disco3, she preferred the RRS...
Never been offroad although in Belgium...parts of the regular road network might well qualify as "offroad". 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge

Not a RRS owner yet - another few months to the TDV8

Retired Mechanical Engineer

1990 Morgan Plus Eight and a Suzuki Jimny

Need a general purpose vehicle capable of:- being a little bit sporty, towing nearly three tonnes of yacht and being pretty safe from other idiots on the road these days.

The Jimny certainly does not fall into any of these categories!

The Morgan only falls into one!

If you call a slippery launching slipway 'all terrain' then yes - but I will still be looking to 'have a go' - when it arrives that is.

I'm 25 Smile
I work for national goverment (legislation) and have some shares in one of the mid-sized telecom companies in the city.
I am PhD in Law.
I was also good at billiards few years ago (pro)
I'm 195sm high (~6'5").
I do like only two carmakers - Rangies and BMs. So I do drive only them. I was considering X5 4.8iS when i was buying RRS. My next thoughts are about BMW M6. Smile 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

Another thought about people who own Land Rover vehicles in general. How tall are you? The typical image of a Land Rover driver is a short fat family man... or is that just my perception?
I'm 6ft2 and have read reveiws of cars by people my height and taller who have said that the Defender, a vehicle which i very much like, are not 'compatible' with people beyond a certain stature.

Opinions please... Twisted Evil

Well I'm tall and slim. And I do not look like a family man Smile

There's a couple of these on the Aston Martin Owners Club forum...

I'm 40 Evil or Very Mad (just). Slowly coming to terms with it.
Work in higher education doing research, and part own a few companies.
Married with three lovely kids.
Bought a HST in August to replace an Aston DB7 as a daily drive. DB7 is now a weekend play thing. Have an Aston Vantage Le Mans as a monthly treat. Awesome cars, all of 'em.
Bought the RRS instead of a Supercharged Vogue as my Brother-in-Law just bought one and I wanted to be different. Never looked back (although we still battle - his interior is far better than mine. My car is far better on the road).
Off road? Nah, although we've just bought a pony for the girls so I suspect things may get a little more dirty in the future.

I am a 53 year old grey haired, fat and unfit grandfather of two boys I am a Sales Rep, with few investments other than the RRS and an average salary. (not Rich)
I live in a modist 4 bed detatched house in Kent.
My other car is a BMW 320d 2007 and we have a BMW 325CI Sport Convertible (02) for sale.

I have a fantastic wife and family and a fantastic home and car and am happy.

Looks as though I could well be at the other end of the scale then Whistle

just for the record, I'm 48 and a quarter, 5'11" overweight but veryactive, Engineer in the Automotive industry, work abroard most of the time currently based in Sweden, own a TDV6 (chipped) V8 90(well over 200 BHP) for off roading and a Mondeo TDCI. This is my 5th RR but have also had the pleasure of the Freelander which after 3 years of ownership didn't give me one problem along the way, not even a recall? Learnt to drive in a series II on a farm that my dad was responsible for so LR's are in my blood. belong to several Off Road and LR clubs, but am quite surprised that there seems to be a gen for the way we look? The clubs are a complete mixture of race, creed, stature and background all with one thing in common LR's
