I now need 2 rear brake callipers as mine are siezed. I`ve emailed Dan at Duckworths but I`ve also looked online and found refurbed ones for around £100 a pair...would they be ok to use.....?

So £125.60 with the £60 off for return item? They must refurb them then. Steve. |

How do you know they are seized? Unless the brakes are getting very hot it may be less of a problem than you think and hence not quite so urgent? Most of the braking effort is created by the front brakes after all. If you have a good motor factor nearby they should be able to offer you new calipers or remanufactured calipers at a decent price instantly or with next day delivery. All the calipers probably need is dismantling, cleaning and reassembling with new seals. Unfortunately most if not all garages can't be bothered with that 'old school' approach and just want to slap on a brand new pair. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE ![]() |

Hi Paddi. When he fitted the discs and pads a while back he freed them off. I asked him to investigate a squeak and that`s when he saw they were seized again. They were getting hot, you could smell them |

He did have a good look and didn`t see anything obvious which would cause it...ie crud etc. Steve. |
