Wales 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Nara Bronze
out of warranty part failure

Had some grinding and crunching noises coming from my front end of my 2010 sport yesterday. I suspected a collapsed wheel bearing or transmission being the worst possible problem. Took the car to my local garage and he has said that the one bearing is completely gone and the other side is on it's way and best to change both together, which iw ould have done anyway. The car is two years outside manufactures warranty but the car has only done 63,000 miles. If i contact landrover and claim faulty parts due to the low mileage of failure, do i have a case. Being land rover and such low milage, i would have expected at least 100,000 miles for a major part to fail on such a vehicle.
I have not hit anything, i have not done any off roading except the odd farm drive and london pot holes and always well driven.
Has anyone ever claimed on parts failure outside warranty and had any success?
I'm popping into the garage tomorrow to inspect the damage and has quoted me £3000 for parts and labour.

£3000?!! You're going to the wrong garage! Go somewhere without any horses tied up to a rail at the front... Rolling Eyes 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
