Ive noticed that my FBH has stopped working after Bodsy sorting it for me ages ago, I've never let the fuel go low so only thing i can think is low voltage, just had my Bosch S5 Battery tested with an analyser and the cca is only reading 603 when the battery is 830cca. and also says the the battery needs charging when before testing i had been driving the car for about an hour.

does that mean the voltage would drop when turning over in the cold weather enough to lock out the FBH ???

Do i need a new battery?

I would have thought you would have other dash error messages when you start the engine if the battery was low. These are usually the first signs.

yeah i replaced the battery in 2015 because of these problems so i replaced it then my alternator fried so i think maybe the battery took a bit of a whack, the navigation reboots at the moment but no other signs but the FBH locking out i think is due to low voltage

I Had the same kind of issue - booked it in for the FBH to be checked under warranty - the battery was the issue & I had no other error codes at all on the dash. I did trickle charge the battery using my CTek but even that didn't give the charge needed for the FBH.
New battery fitted - issue sorted.  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

yeah snap mate i use a ctek charger at least once a month due to short journeys, but it doesn't seem to be working i think the alternator has killed it a little bit, What battery did you replace it with ??? I'm looking at this one http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-batt...mp;cc5_999

I let the dealership put it on - I just handed over my hard earned cash it wasn't cheap but the wife offered to pay  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Wasn't that lucky - a few weeks later I part exchanged it in for my current Sport - it was an impulse thing - Mrs hasn't let me forget it  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

I haven't had the FBH unlocked yet but will soon find out once I have done if it locks out again
