Personally, initially I would try different make of pads before I started changing wheel bearings.

Normally the bearing noise would get louder if you turn right (for left bearing) - open the window , turn at 20mph and see if the noise gets worse. I had bearing issue - making a clicking noise - but there was no play when you tried to pull the wheel - shop told me it was not the bearing - I had them replace it anyway - fixed the problem - but on your case - could be sticking caliper or other issue as well |

put some copper slip on the back of the pads, worked for me 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater |
