Further update.
Aftermarket Parrot Asteroid Mini arrives next Thursday. Would like to plumb it in to the main stereo, so that music and calls come through the car speakers. and the parrot's navigation would be good to come through car speakers also as RRS navigation is from 2006 and tells me to go down roads that are now high rise flats.

I removed the radio and these are the connections i have. Can someone with a better RRS knowledge than me tell me if the AUX wires are present - if they are i'd love to know where the output for them is (rear centre console has nothing showing)

then also, the side trim in the centre console is silver and matches the top trim around the stereo, but when i removed the stereo, the tips of the side trim looked to be wood effect - these have been sprayed to silver haven't they?

cheers in advance
Steve

Interesting.

As you suspect that really isn't an HSE.

The aux wires are present (red and blue)

The trim around the radio is always silver regardless of whether the bottom part is wood. And yes those have been sprayed.

Indeed, the more i delve into the car the more i see what isn't there that others have. However, i'm content, i got a car that i desired on a good price with good km's for its age. It's in good condition and i feel like a good country squire when i drive it. always though at the back of my mind are the nightmares that people on here have reported with their cars, so every time i hear an odd squeak or shudder, my mind goes to a "argh, what was that" mode. Your car may be an HSE but not a UK spec HSE which came very well equipped (It was the "top of the range" at launch with SE and S below it in the UK and only the S/C First Edition cars above it). A friend of mine ended up buying a LHD UK spec HSE to take back to Belgium because the Belgian spec HSE was very poorly kitted out and cost more than the UK spec and then there was luxury car tax on top of that in Belgium!). You may find that your Finnish spec HSE is the equivalent of a same year UK SE model with no navigation system, no phone wiring unless it was specced as an optional I extra, half leather seats (only the seat cushion and back were leather but the sides and rear were a very very good imitation "pleather" which was actually harder wearing and don't crease like the real thing and could easily be wiped clean without fear of marking it) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Hi Tim, thanks for the clarification. Have the navigation but that may have been an added extra.

End of day i'm more than grinning with the car. And once the Parrot is plumbed in. Perfect. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

Parrot Asteroid Mini has arrived. I can see some web installation videos that it plumbs straight in, but then i've also seen that it needs a specific adaptor?
Can anyone clear this up and point me in the right direction of the adaptor if it does need one.

cheers

Hi again,
Is anyone able to shed light on the adapter issue, would ideally like to install the parrot this weekend, or even start tonight, but don't want to take it all apart to find i do need an adapter and have to put it all back together, wait for adapter and then start again.

Cheers

I believe you need an ISO to RR adaptor. Parrot has an ISO lead, right? Regards etc.,

That Parrot came with an ISO lead, 5 plug in boxes plus multiple individual cables for mute in and power. It looks similar to the Adapter advertised on ebay tho. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography
