Problem replacing tailgate trim

Hello everybody.
I recently color coded the tailgate trim of my 2007RRS.
I'm in trouble now because it looks like I cannot put it back on.
Does anyone has experience about how to do that? Because I can't slide the piece in from both sides.

Hi, if its the lower tailgate trim where the letters are, it just clips back into place, make sure the clips are all good and give it a tap back on Thumbs Up 2006 4.2 Supercharged Buckingham blue
2003 BMW X5 4.6is Estoril blue
2006 Yamaha FZ6

It looks like I have some pins on the ends to slide in, so I just cannot push.. Smile

You do not need to slide the trim on, the black clips that are still in the tailgate come off and fit back into the trim. here is a you tube video that should help you -
