Could well be the connector plug in the rear spoiler. It corrodes and you lose the rear screen.

It's not too bad to get at. I found the actual connector was a pig to open up. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

If the wires are visibly broken you can't do anything other than fit a new rear screen which is around £650, your insurance company may pay for it under your glass cover. |

If you don't want to spring for a new screen, you can get filament repair kit at auto parts store that you paint over the gap with and try that ...cheap fix. |
