I have this as well but mine is only in neutral. As you say press brake pedal up and down click click from the gear stick |

Shift interlock solenoid. I'd say it's normal to hear it - perhaps since the brake switch has been changed, it happens more readily so you're now noticing it? |

Since the power to the solenoid is provided by the Transmission Control Module (TCM), it seems unlikely that it would actually make it louder, but the ECUs are significantly affected by the brake switch - not least the TCM - so perhaps it could be down to the behaviour of the ECU. It just means maybe the signal provided from the brake switch has been affecting the manner in which power is provided to the solenoid.
