Anyone have any experience of Colliers Land rover in Brum is respect of "problems". I bought a 2011 RRS 3.0 TDV6 HSE from them on Friday. Today I went to use access mode for the first time and the car went to its highest setting saying obstruction detected (or something similar). Then a orange warning triangle appeared.

I've rang Colliers and they have to told me to ring Range rover assistance. I'm not too worried as the car came with 2 years Land Rover unlimited mileage warranty and 2 years LR Assistance. But a a main dealer selling me a car that developed a fault within 4 days is a worry. Would of they have known the car was likely to throw this fault light?

I have visited there a few times - always busy & polite when I have been spoken too but ( time & distance allowing ) I would drive it back to them & kick it off  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Not necessarily; I wouldn't be worried about it unless I found a time stamped fault code that they should therefore have seen. These cars do throw up faults without warning. With a two year warranty, they'd have nothing to gain by it anyway.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I agree with what you say & as already mentioned if the fault as no historic codes then it`s pure bad luck If it was sold with a faulty component / components then that is clearly not right. The last thing you want is your new pride & joy being dragged away to be fixed

The most likely causes of such a fault would be a bad suspension calibration, faulty height sensor (or wiring) or perhaps a restricted air pipe/blocked air drier or similar.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I'd just ask them nicely to check it over. I too have just bought a 2012 model and have had them do a couple of niggles - all for nothing. Not from your dealer though. Just be polite but firm  Visitor from fullfatrr.com

The Bad- Its having a new compressor fitted Monday. Also exhaust mentioned, but not the engine exhaust.

The good- Land Rover recovery were here within 40 minutes, Hire car sorted for me, all done for free.

I don't want to consider returning the car, its the colour I wanted, its colour coded, its got the interior colour I want. An drives like a beautiful beast. An with 2 years of LR Assistance and unlimited mileage warranty included I should have peace of mind for a while.

Excellent. If the compressor doesn't exhaust correctly it can certainly have that effect.

The compressor should be an AMK already on that age of car.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

No faith restored just yet, I will report back next week. Worth mentioning Colliers only involvement so far has been to sell me the car then tell me to ring Land Rover Assistance when I had a problem. An LR Assistance has booked the car into Shukers in Shrewsbury (closer to me). I guess Colliers 165 point check is lacking slightly, as the exterior trim on the bottom of the driver and passenger front doors is loose. I won't be buying the clips Colliers will.

Brother uses Shukers - good service, been around for yonks.....

They've certainly proved to be a vast improvement over the Hitachi.
