It's a hard reset. It will drain all the capacitors in the modules in the car and in turn, effectively remove their synced memory (for want of better words).

Bodsy, might that procedure work to eliminate a very intermittent ADAPTIVE DYNAMICS FAULT message? - comes up after start about once a month - always goes on restart. 2011 TDV6 HSE Stornoway grey, ivory trim

I doubt it Andy, but it doesn't cost anything to try it. Make sure the battery is fully charged will also help |
