Passanger armrest!!!

Hi, the passanger armrest on my 08 Rrs which I've just bought, is broken, it's just sits down, is this a common fault, can it be fixed or do I need a new armrest?

Can you adjust the knob underneath the armrest? It should adjust the angle it sits at. If the mechanism is broken, you can replace the arm rest with one from a breakers Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
