Jump starting and driving around a bit won't charge the battery sufficiently to avoid non starts on subsequent days.

I agree that it can only be recovered with a good charge with a proper charger but it will not have frozen in the current UK temps. There is no need in normal circumstances to remove the battery and you can happily charge the battery with it still connected to the vehicle. Driving around to 'charge' a battery does almost nothing.

It will need 10 hours or more, so best to leave it on charge overnight.
