2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Izmir Blue

Head Light Bulbs

Hi have just bought an 08 plate 3.6 TDV8 sport. Reading the handbook It says you can change the xenon bulbs yourself
had a look on ebay and amazon put in the codes out of the hand book but there are loads of different specs to choose from.
Does anyone know the right spec to buy

Should be 55W D2S at 4300K, I think.

Edit: Hmmm, manual says 55W, websites say 35W.

click on the D2S entry and it gives 35W. Go for OEM colour (4100-4300K) for max light. The bluer ones actually give less light on the road (and might get you a chat from plod if they think they're too blue...) 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

OK thanks will have a look and see what I can find. It was the numbers after the bulbs that I couldn't under stand as some were listing 6000k, 8000k and 10000k.
Just wondered what they ment

I suggest you do not trust the manual.
Remove one of the bulbs and check '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

But incorrect bulbs may have been installed before.

Well, my bulbs were never replaced, still the original as fitted by the factory.(They are bixenon, adaptive)

They are D1S even if in the manual says D2S. '08 RRS TDV8

I'm not saying don't look, checking will at least re-inforce what you have just stated for the correct bulb fitment, but it might not highlight which is the correct temperature. Sorry for causing any confusion there.

It refers to the colour temperature of the light produced (not the temperature of the bulb). Higher numbers give an increasingly blue tint. OEM colour temperature is around 4100-4300K. This is a white light with a slightly yellow tint that is supposed to be close to daylight and less tiring for the eyes. It looks bright white compared to halogen bulbs because they are quite yellow in colour. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

I checked my handbook and it also says: Xenon Bulbs D2S 55W

Seeing a lot of different opinions I decided to open the hood and check the bulb specifications: D2S 35W
4300K is the stand color

FYI the higher the colour temperature the more blue the appearance of the light.
EG 2700K is equivalent to a traditional tungsten incandescent bulb. 10,000K is defined as 'Blue Sky' light.
