How should SC sound when stopped

Have a quick question

My SC when I have just stopped with idle slightly funny for about 3-5 revs, then sit constant after this

Is this common for SC

Thanks

I can't say mine does this. Do you mean it hunts for a second? Eg, up and down then settles? when off the gas?

When stationery r for eg when u pull up to a junction and pause before pulling out, it hunts slightly, like between 500-750 revs then steadys at constant 500

What could cause that hunting?

It does not sound that bad then if it's only a hundred or so. Try some fuel cleaner in a tank of gas. Would not worry to much as the car would come up with a fault code if there was a problem.

^^ True but TigerDon doesn't say he's had the codes read? Or are all you SC owners in psychic touch with each other? Laughing

Best get the codes read by a good indi or you will be playing 'New Part Bingo'. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

mine does that now and then, fault code P0170 Fuel Trim Bank 1. Is in to dealer tomorrow to get checked out. Apparently, there are lots of small problems which can give this error code, mainly air getting sucked in from somewhere. I've had O2 sensors (x4) and Mass Air Flow sensor done, so now its a proper mechanics turn.  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

Guys mine isint firing up any codes

Previously only codes I was getting was 420 and 430 but that was because both cats were Donald ducked

What I'm taking about here is the engine when stopped hunts slightly for 2-3 revs then remains constant

To date it hasn't brought up any codes, mind u I say to date, way things have been going with mine it's probably only a matter of time
