End of 3.5mm plug stuck in Aux socket, how to get it out?

The tip of the plug is snapped and stuck down the inside of the Aux socket behind the drivers arm rest in the rear seated area , anybody know how to get it out or will it be easier just fitting a new socket if they are available ? Java black 2006

Does the panel look like this?

If so, you can remove it out (friction fit) by holding the hinged cover and pulling firmly as it it were a recalcitrant drawer.
Unplug the connectors and with better access, you may be able to extract the tip. Dab of superglue on the other end of the broken plug can be a last-ditch action- have done that with snapped keys.

If no joy, it's either around £30 for a new one or get a friend with a soldering iron to swap in a new socket on the board.
