Good luck with changing the glove box bulb. Advice is do this one last as it may test your patients !!! Big Cry

It makes it easier to do the glove box light if you take the unit out using this guide rather than attempting to replace the bulb in-place.

Luckily there's a helpful guide (link is in the definitive 'how to' thread in the technical section)

Any ideas on how to change the Side lights as I had a quick look and quickly closed the bonnet again when I thought I may need some tools.

Piece of cake pal, the headlight units have got a round black cover about the size of a mug/glass/cup coaster, unscrew that then feel about for the sidelight, pop that out, swap bulb over, turn the sidelight on to check you've got the LED in the right way (they generally only work one day, if it doesnt work then turn it 180 degree's and put it back in) and in true Haynes fashion "refitting is the reverse of removal" Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. You'll have to remove the headlight to get to the sidelight cover. Follow this vid on how to remove headlight, it's straight forward.

I didn't have to remove the headlight to get to the sidelight in order to change the bulb, doing that seem's a little extreme when there's a removable access panel on the back of the headlight unit Shocked Current: 06 RR Sport HSE TDV6, Bonatti grey, black leather. Defender 90 pick up. Vito 110cdi

I'm removing most of the LEDs inside. Think it looks too blue-y and the normal bulbs looked better IMO

I'll keep the LEDs in the driver and passenger overhead switched, but I'm gonna replace all the others back MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

I only changed the four door puddle lights internally. It gives a better view of what's on the ground before you step out. I think LEDs would be too harsh for the rest of the interior fittings.

I have fitted LEDs to the number plate and sidelights though because, again, I think they improve visibility - particularly the rear number plate. It also has a useful side effect of lighting the ground immediatly behind the vehicle - useful if one has parked and wants to go to the boot and the engine / lights are on. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The only way I could get to the panel was to remove the whole headlight unit from the vehicle - the panel is at the bottom of the unit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yep, forgot about the numberplate ones, I've left those as LED too Thumbs Up

Anyone know why the sidelights always looks blueish while the same bulb looks white in the interior??
Do the reflectors make them blueish??

If someone got the perfect xenonmatch let me know;) RRS 2006 2.7 HSE

The interior fittings have white plastic in them to reflect the light. The sidelights are mirrored. I can only assume that the white plastic takes the edge off of the blue tint whereas the mirror finish just reflects the blue. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
