Steering round right hand corners

When I drive round a right hand bend the steering seems to go drift, and feels very unstable and unsafe, left hand bend seem fine, at slow speed it's ok but a a higher speed the problem occurs. Also twice now I have gone tight round a roundabout and I have had a grinding noise from the front, is this traction control coming on or could this be linked to the steering or something else.

Any help or advise would be appreciated and welcomed.

Many,thanks

Steve

Also check your nuts Laughing

I don't mean check to see if you are nuts, Laughing i mean check to see if your wheel nuts are all present and tight. Thumbs Up
Even if they are bolts on the sport, still check them.

Next step i'd get it to a garage and get all steering joints checked aswel as wheel bearings.Just out of intrest what wheels have you got on your motor?

Probably an ARB issue. Does yours have dynamic stability control?

Check the ARB link rods on both sides in case one has snapped.

I had the same problem a few months ago. It's been fine since and not done it.
Going around a tight small roundabout was fine but at about 25 30 around a big roundabout it sometimes grinded Worse if you lift your foot off the throttle and the front dips. Just like abs coming in. I had it all checked. But was fine and not done it for a few months now.
Not much help this but thought ide post it anyway. Rolling Eyes

Sorry somehow missed the bit where it says it was grinding. Transmission or CV joint would be my guess. Try putting the steering on full lock left/right and drive forward slowly. Get someone to listen to the wheels to see if there is a clicking sound as you go round. If it clicks then it's probably a CV joint.

Sounds like the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control). I've had the same issue on right hand corners at anything more than slow speed.

The grinding is the ABS kicking in. Check for warning lights activated on the dash at the same time as the vehicle feels strange and the grinding occurs.

It could be the steering angle that is out, or steering angle sensor at fault.
