They're all HSE spec so it's all good Thumbs Up

And it flies when you boot it. I would also imagine that mpg is comparable between the two so IMHO it's a no brainer.

Let's face it no RRS is gonna return blue motion numbers but you're not buying it for that. Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Nara Bronze

My TDV6 does about 24-25 round town, 30-33 motorway. Although I have had issues with the car it has not been anything to do with the engine or gearbox and it purrs lovely. I can honestly say that in the 5 months I have owned it and the 3 years of owning a D3 TDV6 I have never had a situation where I have thought I could have done with more power, and the D3 was put through all sorts of crap offroad on Salisbury Plain.

If I want more power I just knock it into sport mode but I think I have only used sport or command shift a couple of times to be honest. The gearbox seems to learn your driving style pretty well and it does everything I need it to without any issues. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

one of the known issues with the TDV6 is that it is missing 2 cylinders

What has people's experience been with regard to reliability of the RRS ?

I thought they were more reliable than some past models but now not so sure ! Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

i've had 2, plenty of niggles but nothing major. Worst was the starter seizing which may have been my fault owing to extra curricular activities Rolling with laughter

however some people do have really bad problems but then that's the same for all cars Thumbs Up ============

18 troublefree months for me in my 2010 SE!! I bought the SE as I was desperate to enjoy my car and not worry if the rear view camera or the memory seats were going to play up! The HSE has loads of toys, but just one of the unnecessary ones going wrong would sour my thoughts on the car, so for me, less is more!

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hello,
I've just placed my RRS HSE TDV6 56 plate in Java Black up for sale at £22.5K on Piston Heads last night. It might not be what your looking for but happy to talk you through the car even if you just want to compare it to others your considering. I set the Avg Mpg many thousands of miles ago and its gradually crept up to and sustained 32.3 mpg yes it sits at 65 to 70 mph on the A1 for my commute but also has plenty of stop start at the Black Cat roundabout. Its possibly unusual in that it still has months of full Land Rover transferable warranty and recovery and I'll have it serviced before it sells, the mileage seems high at 84k but the last 40k has been in cruise up and down the A1. Why am I selling it? well I have a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and need a environmentally kind 60mpg run about to ease my wallet (thats what the wife is telling me) but perhaps the RRS won't sell and I'll have a drive full of 4x4s . Regards

Paul

I was thinking of looking at maybe picking up an ex-lease car at one of the auctions.

Any thoughts or advice on this approach ?
For example, is there a way of checking the service history like the BMW service where you can ring up centrally and get the service history detail ? Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

Most auctions I've been to are very up front about the history. You won't get the book before sale obviously, but they will let you know when and how many stamps there are. I did call a local LR dealer recently to see if they could tell me any of the history on a car but they refused to give me a single crumb of information - citing the data protection act (which is pish by the way as no personal details were asked for). Don't know of a central LR database.
