Hosepipe ban and RRS washing

What are folks doing about washing their RRS if they are in a hosepipe ban area ? Range Rover Sport TdV6HSE Bonatti Grey 20" FE Stormer wheels, Privacy Glass, Mats, Boot Mat, black badges, SC grille and vents

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

No hose pipe ban around here yet, but I do get a few nasty looks as I wash away. Laughing

If they do introduce a hosepipe ban I will rush down to the local hand car wash centre run by the friendly little immigrants, they always do a good job.

£5.50 for a wash and shammy. There is a sign that says 4x4's and MPV's £2 extra, all the time I drove my Freelander I was only ever charged the £5.50 because I was a regular. As soon as I moved up to the RRSport the little man started charging me the extra two quid.

When I pointed out that I only ever paid five and a half quid with the Freelander he just pointed at the motor, "If you can afford one of those, you can afford the extra £2"

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Talk about profiteering Exclamation Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

you dont need a hose pipe

you can wash a car pefectly well with no hose pipe there is a serious shortage of water i am currently working on water projects so have a bit of inside info for those who use your hosepipe it is irresponsible and dont whine when you only have a standpipe in the street in the middle of the summer Exclamation but you will wont you Embarassed

Hose pipe bans..................... what are they? We have more water than we know what to do with up here. Washed the offroading crud off the Defender on Sunday and that took 5 hours with the hose running all the time. Sunday afternoon I decide that I had had enough of washing cars myself and took the Sport to the local hot jetwash for a change. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

5 hours you need to invest in a pressure washer it takes less to do a 20 ton digger Laughing

That was with the aid of a pressure washer and driving it into Loch Lomond up to the top of the wheels to make cleaning all the swamplife out from the chassis easier................... 5mph backwards and forwards for 20 minutes in that depth of water works wonders! And Loch Lomond is freshwater...... but at this time of the year the water temperature is about 8C so hand washing there it is not even an option 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Even better would be somebody else to wash the wagon for me! Laughing I don't mind it only gets washed once a month anyway, whether it needs it or not and as it is only used for offroad playing then usually it needs it!
The jetwash lads that I take the Sport to only charge £5 to do a muddy Defender, but they are not very enthusiastic at crawling underneath it to get at all the fiddly bits! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
