United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Iphone

Our RRS has recently had a ipod audio connection socket thing fitted to the car by the local dealer, to allow us to connect the iphone to the car.

Has anyone had any experience of using a Iphone with the RRS on board kit, our car is a 08 hse.

Also ask the question on our sister site disco3.co.uk From what I understand it makes the ipod controllable using the steering wheel buttons but the downside is that there is no display on any of the RRS screens. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

RR08,

Yes I use one regularly. Just plug the phone into the cable, then pres 'NO' when it asks if you would like to put your phone into Airplane model and then you are away.

You will need to set the phone playing either an album or playlist, then you can control the volume and up/down through the tracks via the steering wheel.

The phone will continue to work via Bluetooth whislt you are listening to music.

Am I right in thinking the phone works the same as an ipod but you can't use the connector to make and receive phone calls ?

The problem I get is that when I some times receive a call the phone rings and I answer it on the car bluetooth but the call answers and there is no audio and I end up having to call the person back.

Does anyone else have this problem, I assumed that the connector cable would hook up the car and the iphone together without the need for blue tooth as it goes along..

Why not using the AUX-in and a parrot bluetooth-kit? Costs about 50 pounds and works brilliantly! Thumbs Up RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink
